Stars of Argentina commemorates Argentina’s famous victory in the FIFA World Cup 2022 held in Qatar, inspired by their pass network visualization in the final game.
The original visualisation was associated with a constellation. Each player is a star, and through their relationships they form a large constellation, which the artist has visualised in a playful, comic form. Of course, the GOAT himself and the goalkeeper's phenomenal save in the last minutes of the World Cup final could not be left out of the painting.

The Origin
The original pass network visualization, showing all the pass connections beween Argentina’s players in the World Cup final, that inspired our artist for creating the painting.
The red dots are representing the players of Argentina, placed on their average passing position on the pitch. The bigger a dot is, the more passes he made during the game. The thicker a line between two players is, the more passes they made between each other. Only passes over five are displayed on the diagram.
